1. Calculator inputs and browser storage
ClaimLedge is built as a set of client-side utilities. Every calculation — settlement estimates, fine projections, premium models — executes locally in your browser using JavaScript. We do not operate accounts, forms that transmit personal data, lead capture systems, or any backend database of user inputs. Calculations do not submit the numbers you type to ClaimLedge.
The site uses browser storage for your theme preference and recent search terms. Calculator scenarios are saved to browser storage only when you select Compare; you can remove them from the Compare panel or clear this site's data in your browser. A share link contains the calculator values in its URL fragment. ClaimLedge does not receive that fragment, but anyone you send the link to can read and restore those values.
2. Information collected automatically
Like virtually all websites, our hosting infrastructure may record standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operational purposes. We may also use privacy-respecting, aggregate traffic analytics. These data are are not linked to calculator inputs submitted to us, because the calculators make no such submission.
3. Advertising cookies — Google AdSense disclosure
ClaimLedge may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and its partners. When advertising is active, the following disclosure applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to personalize the advertising you see, and to measure advertising performance.
4. How to opt out of personalized advertising
- You may opt out of personalized advertising from Google at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com).
- You may opt out of personalized advertising from many third-party vendors through www.aboutads.info/choices.
- You can also block or delete cookies entirely through your browser settings; the calculators on this site will continue to work fully.
5. Regional privacy rights
EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors (GDPR / UK GDPR): Where the law requires consent before non-essential advertising cookies are set, advertising must be configured to collect that consent first. You may withdraw consent through the site’s consent controls when they are available. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection regarding personal data held about you; because calculators do not submit inputs to our servers, most requests concern third-party advertising providers rather than ClaimLedge.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising of our own. Advertising cookies set by Google and its partners operate under their own opt-out mechanisms described in Section 4.
6. Children's privacy
This site is directed at adults researching legal and insurance matters. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
7. Changes to this policy
If our data practices change — for example, if we introduce optional email features — we will update this page accordingly. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
